Guide to the Namibian Economy 2010
Robin Sherbourne
This book is the brainchild of Robin Sherbourne, a trustee of the IPPR and a former director of the organisation. Robin has been analysing and writing about the Namibian economy since the early 1990’s and this books is very much the product of his close engagement with the issues over the past 20 years. As such, it is voluminous, but its size should not put off would-be readers, since it is written and presented in a style that is highly readable and relevant. This is not a dry and dusty economics tome. There is unlikely to be another book on the Namibian economy that is as detailed and accessible.
This second edition includes not only a comprehensive update of data and events but also a wealth of new material including boxes on the informal sector, welfare payments, Namibia’s white fish industry, BEE in the mining sector and more.
